CBSE Class 10th - 12th Exams in March 2018, Teachers of Classes 9th to 12th Need to Register for Time-Bound Results

To ensure quality and error-free evaluation, the board requires a large number of experienced and trained teachers to complete the whole process in a time-bound manner,” read the circular, further pointing out how schools have not cooperated with CBSE in the past.

As per a latest notice issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to its affiliated schools, the Class 10th and 12th Exams will be scheduled for March 2018. CBSE is scheduled to conduct the practical exams for AISSE and AISSCE in January 2018. The notice also reiterated the schools to relieve regular and experienced teachers of Classes 9th to 12th for time bound evaluation of answer sheets and declaration of results. “Smooth and efficient conduct of class 10 and 12 examinations along with declaration of result in time with accuracy has always been the foremost endeavour of the Board.

To ensure quality and error-free evaluation, the board requires a large number of experienced and trained teachers to complete the whole process in a time-bound manner,” read the circular, further pointing out how schools have not cooperated with CBSE in the past.“However, it has been observed that the schools are not cooperating with the Board in nominating/deputing and relieving their regular and experienced teachers for the process. The directions of the board in this regard are not being followed in letter and spirit.”

The circular further stated the consequences for schools failing to adhere to the teacher’s requirement, “Non-compliance of the directions will be seen as a misconduct and the board will be compelled to take strong action, including penalty and/or further action of disaffiliation.”

There are over 18000 schools in India affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The board depends on the experienced teachers of the affiliated schools for evaluating the mark sheets with accuracy and in a timely manner so as to not affect the further admission process of students who appear for their matriculation and senior secondary examination.

CBSE has instructed the schools to ensure all teachers from Class 9th till 12th register themselves on the examination portal of CBSE before 5th January 2018 for timely identification and intimation of the teachers shortlisted by the Board.

The Board has mandated the schools to ensure pre-evaluation training workshops for teachers and has also asked to relieve the identified teachers to ensure quality is not compromised during the evaluation process, “Ensure that all teachers identified as evaluators of answer script are given no other teaching or school related work during evaluation, thereby raising quality of evaluation.”
