The CBSE will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)- Main on April 8 2018. The examinations will be held in pen and paper mode (offline) on April 8, 2018. IIT-Kanpur will organise the nationwide test in 2018.
Officials from the Board said that the dates of the online entrance test would be announced soon.
The JEE-Main is conducted by the CBSE every year for admissions to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other centrally funded technical institutes. A Joint Admission Board (JAB) of the IITs conduct JEE-Advance for filling their seats.
Candidates qualifying the JEE-Main are selected for taking the JEE-Advance based on their performance in the test and other eligibility crietria.
The JEE-Advance will be held by the IITs on May 20, 2018. "The entire JEE-Advance, 2018 examination will be conducted in a fully computer-based test mode," the IITs had said announcing the date for the test recently.
